PÊREL VIR ELKE DAG:
(Lukas 4:20-24)
20. En nadat Hy die boek toegemaak en aan die dienaar teruggegee het, het Hy gaan sit, en die oë van almal in die sinagoge was op Hom gevestig.
21. Toe begin Hy vir hulle te sê: "Vandag is hierdie Skrif in julle ore vervul."
22. En almal het vir Hom getuienis gegee en was verwonderd oor die aangename woorde wat uit Sy mond gekom het; en hulle sê: "Is Hy nie die Seun van Josef nie?"
23. En Hy antwoord hulle: "Julle sal My ongetwyfeld hierdie spreekwoord toevoeg: 'Geneesheer, genees Uself. Alles wat ons hoor wat in Kapernaüm gebeur het, doen dit hier in U vaderstad ook.'
24. En Hy sê: "Voorwaar Ek sê vir julle, geen profeet is aangenaam in sy vaderland nie."

(Luke 4:20-24)
20. Then He rolled up the book and gave it back to the attendant and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were gazing (attentively) at Him.
21. And He began to speak to them: "Today this Scripture has been fulfilled, while you are present and hearing."
22. And all spoke well of Him and marvelled at the words of grace that came from His mouth; and they said: "Is this not Joseph's Son?"
23. So He said to them: "You will doubtless quote to Me this proverb: 'Physician, heal Yourself! What we have learned by hearsay that You did in Capernaum, do here also in Your (own) town.
24. Then He said: "Solemnly I say to you, no prophet is acceptable and welcome in his (own) town (country)."
(Ek vertrou die Heilige Gees van God om die korrekte Skriflesing gedeelte aan my deur te gee elke dag, volgens u behoeftes en verwagtinge.
Aan Hom kom toe alle eer, heerlikheid, krag, mag, lofprysing, aanbidding en danksegging van nou, tot in ewigheid.
