PÊREL VIR ELKE DAG:

(Lukas 5:29,32)

29. En Levi (Mattheus) het 'n groot feesmaal vir Hom in sy huis gegee; en daar was 'n groot menigte van tollenaars en ander wat saam met hulle aan tafel was. 

30. En hulle skrifgeleerdes en die Fariseërs het by Sy dissipels gemurmureer en gesê: 'Waarom eet julle saam met die tollenaars en die sondaars?'

31. En Jesus antwoord en sê vir hulle: "Die wat gesond is, het die geneesheer nie nodig nie, maar die wat ongesteld is.

32. "Ek het nie gekom om regverdiges te roep nie, maar sondaars tot bekering."

(Luke 5:29,30)

29. And Levi (Mstthew) made a great banquet for Him in his own house, and there was a large company of tax collectors and others who were reclining (at the table) with them. 

30. Now the Pharisees and their scribes were grumbling against Jesus' desciples, saying: 'Why are you eating and drinking with tax collectors and (preeminently) sinful people?' 

31. And Jesus answered them: "Is it not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick?

32. "I have not come (to arouse and invite and call the righteous, but erring ones, (those not free from sin) to repentance, (to change their minds for the better and heartily to amend their ways, with abhorrence of their past sins).

(Ek vertrou die Heilige Gees van God om die korrekte Skriflesing gedeelte aan my deur te gee elke dag, volgens u behoeftes en verwagtinge. 

Aan Hom kom toe alle eer, heerlikheid, krag, mag, lofprysing, aanbidding en danksegging van nou, tot in ewigheid.
