(Deuteronomium 4:41-43)

STEDE VAN TOEVLUG:

41. Toe het Moses drie stede afgesonder oos van die Jordaan, teen sonop,

42. sodat hy wat doodslag begaan het daarheen kan vlug, wat sy naaste sonder opset doodgeslaan het, terwyl hy hom van gister en eergister af nie vyandig was nie; sodat hy in een van die stede kan vlug en in die lewe bly:

43. Beser in die woestyn, in die landstreek van die gelykveld, vir die Rubenniete; en Ramot in Gílead vir die Gadiete, en Golan in Basan vir die Manassiete.

CITIES OF REFUGE;

(41. Then Moses set apart three cities on this side of the Jordan, toward the rising of the sun,

42. that the manslayer might flee there, who kills his neighbour unintentionally, without having hated him in time past, and that by fleeing to one of these cities, he might live: 

43. Bezer in the wilderness on the plateau for the Reubenites, Ramoth in Gilead for the Gadites, and Golan in Bashan for the Manassites. 

(Ek vertrou die Heilige Gees van God om telkens die korrekte Skriflesing gedeelte aan u deur te gee, volgens u behoeftes en verwagtinge. 

Aan Hom kom toe alle eer, heerlikheid, lofprysing, aanbidding en danksegging nou, en tot in ewigheid.
