PÊREL VIR ELKE DAG.

(Lukas 8:23-25)

23. En terwyl hulle seil, raak Hy aan die slaap. Toe kom daar 'n stormwind op die see af en die skuit begin vol word, en hulle was in gevaar. 

24. En hulle het na Hom gegaan en Hom wakker gemaak en gesê: 'Meester, Meester, ons vergaan!' Hy staan toe op en bestraf die wind en die watergolwe, en hulle het bedaar en daar het 'n stilte gekom. 

25. En Hy sê vir hulle: "Waar is julle geloof?" Maar hulle was bang en verwonderd, en hulle het vir mekaar gesê: 'Wie is Hy tog, dat Hy selfs die winde en die water gebied, en hulle Hom gehoorsaam is!'

(Luke 8:23-25)

23. But as they were sailing, He fell off to sleep. And a whirlwind revolving from below upwards swept down on the lake, and the boat was filling with water, and they were in great danger. 

24. And the disciples came and woke Him, saying: 'Master, Master, we are perishing! And He being thoroughly awakened, censured and blamed and rebuked the wind and the raging waves; and they ceased, and there was a calm. 

25. And He said to them:! Why are you so fearful? Where is your faith (your trust, and confidence in Me - in My veracity  and in My integrity?) And they were seized with alarm and profound and reverent dread, and they marvelled, saying to one another: 'Who then is this, that He commands even wind and sea, and they obey Him?' 

(Ek vertrou die Heilige Gees van God om die korrekte Skriflesing aan my deur te gee elke dag, volgens u behoeftes en verwagtinge. 

Aan Hom kom toe alle eer, heerlikheid, lof, prys, danksegging en aanbidding, van nou tot in ewigheid.
