PÊREL VIR ELKE DAG:

(Lukas 8:11-15)

11. "Dit is dan die betekenis: Die saad is die Woord van God. 

12. "Die langs die pad is die hoorders. Daarna kom die duiwel en neem die Woord uit hul harte weg, sodat hulle nie sou glo en gered word nie. 

13. "En dié op die rots, is hulle wat die Woord met blydskap ontvang wanneer hulle dit hoor; en hulle het geen wortel nie, aangesien hulle net vir 'n tyd glo, en in die tyd van versoeking val hulle af. 

14. "En wat in dorings geval het - dit is die wat gehoor het, en hulle gaan weg en word verstik deur die sorge en rykdom en genietinge van die lewe, en dra geen ryp vrug nie. 

15. "En wat in die goeie grond val, dit is die wat, nadat hulle gehoor het, die Woord in 'n goeie en edele hart hou, en met volharding vrug dra."

PEARL FOR EACH DAY:

(Luke 8:11-15)

11. "Now the meaning of the parable is this: The seed is the Word of God.

12. "Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the Word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. 

13. "Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the Word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing, they fall away.  

14. "The seed that fell among thorns, stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way, they are choked by life's worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. 

15. "But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the Word, retain it, and by persevering, produce a crop."

(Ek vertrou die Heilige Gees van God om die korrekte Skriflesing aan my deur te gee elke dag, volgens u behoeftes en verwagtinge. 

Aan Hom kom toe alle eer, heerlikheid, lof, prys, danksegging en aanbidding, van nou tot in ewigheid.
