(Lukas 8:16-18)

16. "Want niemand steek 'n lamp op en maak dit toe met iets, of sit dit onder 'n bed nie; maar hy sit dit op 'n staander, sodat almal wat inkom die lig kan sien. 

17. "Want daar is niks verborge wat nie openbaar sal word nie, of weggesteek wat nie bekend sal word en in die lig sal kom nie. 

18. "Pas dan op hoe julle hoor, want elkeen wat het, aan hom sal gegee word; en van elkeen wat nie het nie, van hom sal weggeneem word, ook wat hy dink dat hy het."

(Luke 8:16-18)

16. "No one lights a lamp and hide it in a clay jar, or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in, can see the light. 

17. "For there is nothing hidden that will not be known or brought out into the light, and be disclosed. 

18. "Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them. 

(Ek vertrou die Heilige Gees van God om die korrekte Skriflesing aan my deur te gee elke dag, volgens u behoeftes en verwagtinge. 

Aan Hom kom toe alle eer, heerlikheid, lof, prys, danksegging en aanbidding, van nou tot in ewigheid.
