PÊREL VIR ELKE DAG:

(Handelimge 15:1-5

1. En sekere persone wat van Judéa af gekom het, het die broeders geleer; "As julle nie besny word volgens die gebruik van Moses nie, kan julle nie gered word nie."

2. Toe daar nou geen klein stryd en woordewisseling van die kant van Paulus en Bárnabas teen hulle ontstaan het nie, en hulle het besluit dat Paulus en Bárnabas en nog 'n paar ander van hulle sou opgaan na die apostels en ouderlinge in Jerusalem in verband met hierdie vraagstuk. 

3. En hulle is deur die gemeente uitgelei en het Fenísië en Samaría deurgegaan en vertel van die bekering van die heidene, en aan al die broeders groot blydskap verskaf.  

4. En by hulle aankoms in Jerusalem is hulle ontvang deur die gemeente en die apostels en die ouderlinge; en hulle het verslag gedoen oor al die dinge wat God met hulle gedoen het. 

5. Maar sommige van die gelowiges uit die party van die Fariseërs, het opgestaan en gesê: "Dit is noodsaaklik dat hulle besny word, en bevel ontvang om die Wet van Moses te onderhou."

PEARL FOR EACH DAY:

(Acts 15:1-5)

1. But some men came down from Judea and were instructing the brethren: "Unless you are circumcised in accordance with the Mosaic custom, you can not be saved."

2. And when Paul and Barnabas had no small disagreement and discussion with them, it was decided that Paul and Barnabas and some of the others of their number should go up to Jerusalem and confer with the apostles and the elders about this matter. 

3. So, being fitted out and sent on their way by the Church, they went through both Phoenicia and Samaria, telling of the conversion of the Gentiles, and they caused great rejoicing among all the brethren. 

4. When they arrived in Jerusalem, they were heartily welcomed by the Church and the apostles and the elders, and they told them all what God had accomplished through them. 

5. But some who believed (who acknowledged Jesus as their Saviour and devoted themselves to Him),  belonged to the sect of the Pharisees, and they rose up and said: "It is necessary to cicumcise (the Gentile converts) and to charge them to obey the Law of Moses."

(Ek vertrou die Heilige Gees van God om my van die korrekte Skriflesing gedeelte te voorsien elke dag, volgens u behoeftes en verwagtinge. 

Aan hom kom toe alle eer, heerlikheid, krag, mag, majesteit, lofprysing, aanbidding en danksegging, van nou af tot in ewigheid.
