PÊREL VIR ELKE DAG:

(Handelinge 6:8-11)

8. En Stéfanus, vol van geloof en krag, het groot wonders en tekens onder die volk gedoen. 

9. En daar het sommige van die sogenaamde sinagoge van die Libertyne opgestaan, en van die Cirenéërs en Alexandryne, en van die mense van Cilicië en Asië, en hulle het met Stéfanus geredetwis. 

10. Maar hulle kon die wysheid en die Gees waardeur hy gespreek het, nie weerstaan nie. 

11. Toe het hulle manne opgesteek om te sê: 'Ons het hom lasterlike dinge hoor praat teen Moses en God.'

(Acts 6:8-11)

8. Now Stephen, full of grace (divine blessing and favour) and power (strength and ability) worked great wonders and signs (miracles) among the people. 

9. However, those who belonged to the synagogue of the Freedmen (freed Jewish slaves), as it was called, and (of the synagogues) of the Cyrenians and of the Alexandrians, and of those from Cilicia and the  province of Asia, arose (and undertook to debate and dispute with Stephen.)

10. But they were not able to resist the intelligence and the wisdom and (the inspiration of) the Spirit with which and by Whom he spoke.  

11. So they secretly instigated and instructed  men to say: 'We have heard this man speak, using slanderous and abusive and blasphemous language against Moses and God.' 

(Ek vertrou die Heilige Gees van God om my van die korrekte Skriflesing gedeelte te voorsien elke dag, volgens u behoeftes en verwagtinge. Aan Hom kom toe alle eer, heerlilheid, krag, mag, majesteit, lofprysing, aanbidding, en danksegging, van nou af tot in ewigheid.
